Example 4 – Dispute Resolution

The vehicle was still within its warranty term, but the dealership was claiming that the problems complained of fell outside the scope of the warranty.

We were appointed to inspect the vehicle and advise if the mechanical failures should indeed be covered by warranty. To us, it was immediately clear that they should.

The customer was provided with a report advising our findings, and the garage responded that the mechanical failures would be repaired immediately.

We re-inspected the vehicle on completion of the work to confirm that all work was completed to a satisfactorily high standard.

The garage advised afterwards that they would be happy to work with us again in the future, as it was of great assistance in restoring the relationship between the garage and the customer.
